Just thought I'd give out shout out to The Digital Kingdom who have a new site out. Well worth having a look if you haven't already.

What's the best way to go about it (seriously)?

Would it be to contact them and let them know (like they don't already) that what they're doing is illegal? Repercussions?
Would it be to contact the host and get the site shut down?

Before I go wild at this particular individual or 'company', I just want to do it right.

Thanks!

Why is it that designs offer clients (or clients request) unlimited revisions for a logo? Isn't that a bit beyond the point? I've been knocked back a few times because I don't offer unlimited revisions. Personally (and without sounding arrogant) I feel that I'm the designer, you're paying me to do a job for you.

Can I just ask what you offer (you don't have to mention rates if you don't want) when it comes to logo design? If you do offer unlimited revisions, why?
  • Mood: Nervous
Just wondering if anyone uses them and if so how often?

The reason I ask is because I don't use them at all. Only if I were to do a batch resize or something like that. I'm thinking it's something I should really get into to save time.

I feel a little bit guilty using plugins especially. It's like you haven't created the effect at all. But, I was looking at Fluid Mask 3 and it looks fantastic! I might just give it a go and see what it's like because, as we all know, cutting stuff out in PS is a pain.

So, I'd like to know my original question and also any other good ones worth giving a go!

Thanks!

Yay, it's finally here! Well worth checking it out over at Desktopography.

What makes this one extra special, for me, is that I'm actually involved! I'll upload them onto deviantART when I get a chance but for the meantime, check out everyones stunning work on the website.

Special thanks to Pete Harrison for the opportunity aswell.

Let me know what you think!

Hey guys.

Well I made a design blog (which is in its beginning stages). Feel free to 'follow' it on RSS, whatever you kids use these days (hey, I'm 20... I'm getting on).

So, I've got rid of the Flash site.... more by accident but lets not get into that.

First XHTML / CSS / Javascript site I've made, so it might be a bit raw.

Anyway, I'd like to hear your thoughts: www.ckgd.net

Took freakin' long enough to make.

Well and truly over it. Coding is horrible... why, why, why?

I've been trying to get Galleria and then Lightbox to work all day and I can't get it to flippin' work.

/end rant.

______________

Edit; [link]

Nothing seems wrong with that does it? I've pasted what I've been required to paste... nothing!

And yes, I've uploaded all the Javascript files into a folder called js and the CSS into a folder called css. I've implemented the code thats in the lightbox css into my styles.css

Any help appreciated.

Today my online portfolio, [link] became live. Last couple of weeks I've worked on it for tireless hours, learning more and more ActionScript 2 every day. Really good experience and I'm happy with the result.

Would love to hear some feedback, so please take a look and let me know what you think.

Also, check the portfolio for some of my stuff which you wouldn't have seen.

Hope the site doesn't take too long to load - I've tried to cut it back as much as I can.

Thanks for viewing!

I've finished my Graphic Design course (last year actually - November), so now I'm a fully qualified Graphic Designer.

Yay.

Anyway, who knows. I've been doing a bit of freelance work and a couple of abstract pieces but nothing extremely exciting and nothing really challenging. Typically, if I make something digital art related, I don't even save it. I just delete it when I'm done. Well, at least, I don't feel like challenging myself at this point in time. I've thought about trying to apply for a Digital Art group perhaps for a bit of exposure, but I've been there done that and choke. And, I don't believe I choke in many things, but I think Graphic Design might be one of these. I'm not naturally gifted at Graphic Design and, like I said in my last journal, am never satisfied with what I do.

Freelance can be your best friend and your worst enemy. Its fantastic conditions for making money... if its made. That pretty much sums it up. Clients don't pay sometimes so why put your heart in soul into something that essentially someone may not pay for. You can get them to sign the contracts but in the end of the day, will they pay?

I've wanted to be a Graphic Designer since year 10 (last four years for those playing at home). Now its here, its a little anti-climatic and I'm not sure if its really what I want to do. Problem is, what else? I love driving and sport... both areas have zero employment opportunities. Yay, a personal trainer or a mechanic...

Thats my little sook for today,

- Chris.

Does anyone else never feel satisfied with their own work? I'm talking more about Graphic Design and Digital Art. I never feel - ohh thats awesome, or I've worked really hard and the result is just how I want it. I tend to always fault the problems and then get frustrated at not doing the best I could do.

Its so annoying.
